EXCELLENT STAY IN RURAL FRANCE
We stayed at Maison de roses for 10 days with daughter, partner and two young children. the house was well equipped but has maintained the authentic character of the building. Location was great to see the real rural France with lakes nearby and nearest town only a short drive away and the village centre a short walk away...croissants from the local baker a must each morning !. I would not hesitate to recommend Maison des roses to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday with excellent facilities and easy access to rural France.

FANTASTIC, WELL-EQUIPPED HOUSE IN A GREAT PART OF FRANCE

We stayed at Lynn's lovely property for two weeks in July/August - with our three grown-up children. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed (including wifi). The garden is located to the side of the house, and is sheltered from the road - it got the sun from lunchtime and throughout the afternoon - great for the evening bbq. The village bar was welcoming.  The surrounding area is dotted with fabulous lakes – well worth the drive out, and is generally good for walking and cycling. There is very little traffic on the minor roads, and these pass through some spectacular countryside. The swimming pool at St Junien is fantastic, with both indoor and outdoor facilities – get there early for a lounger.

FABULOUS, DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE

We had a lovely week at Rose House. The renovation, restoration and facilities were first class and I particularly loved the original hall, stairs and landing-it is stunning! We ate lovely meals in local restaurants and enjoyed cooking locally sourced food in the fully equiped kitchen and eating our meals in the pretty, attached garden. The people in the village and the surrounding countryside were very friendly, as were the British ex-pats we met at the local tobac. Driving around was easy and the roads were like they used to be in England 50 years ago with little traffic, coutesy and no traffic jams.
